The autodromo do Ceará, in addition to being representative with the end of the era of street lanes that made almost the entire structure of Brazilian motorsport, but in the late 60s the thick of an accident motivated the federation to ban racing in cities, and within this context, the autodromo do Ceará appears as the only alternative to the drivers of the great northeast region. But the main fact that made me search the history for the reality of the GPL was a photo, that is, that photo of Willys Interlagos (Alpine 110) shooting at the "curve of despair" (T1), this simple photo, hit me the heart ! I would need to make this curve !!!! " ###################### This third track I built is a very important race track for the development of motorsport in Brazil, it was for a long time the only option permanently in the northeastern region of the country. This version is from the inauguration year, 1969, this layout was very modified in 1987. "Like the other tracks I'm developing, nothing would be possible without the help of Ginetto and his borrowed objects and textures, in addition to the material available in the GPL Repository." Track Num. Turns : 80 Track Period : 1969 Posted Image Autódromo Virgílio Távora The Virgílio Távora International Autodrome was the first to be built in the Northeast. Inaugurated on January 12, 1969 with the Grand Prize Minister Mário Andreazza, a 65-lap race, the winner was Bahia driver Luís Pereira dos Santos, "Lulu Geladeira", riding a Spartan Puma. The track had a simple layout with only 5 curves and 2350 meters. The start was counterclockwise. In 1970 the first international race of the circuit was held, a Formula Ford stage with victory by Emerson Fittipaldi. The Fortaleza race was, for many years, the only international race held at the race track. After this moment, the most important events held were a Division 3 stage in 1974 and a race in the inaugural year of Stockcar in 1979. http://www.bandeiraq...ilio Tavora.htm Credits Objects, Textures and everything else : Jonny'O ,Ginetto ,GPL Repository AI : Textures : Jonny'O, GPL Repository Notes: I used some textures and 3do's from others tracks and Repository, full credits for the authors of the files.
