GT Sound Update for the GTX '67 Sportscars Mod 2018.11.14 by ducwolf (aka Wolfgang Buthe)

With these new files, all GT Sportscars engine sounds will be updated. The newly implemented Alfa T33 2.0 liter V8 has its own file called GTAlfa20.wav.
These sounds are extracted from original onboard recordings.

All other engine sounds are also extracted from new, better onboard recordings and tweaked with some new techniques to have more authentic renditions.

I'm very thankful for the adjustment of the engine inertia by Richard, who also made fine tunings of idle speeds for a more realistic idle sound. Both
features increase the immersion of the sound reproduction a lot.

If you browse through the sound folder, there are a few options for skid and wind noises to choose between that give more or less volume and presence.

The acoustic perception of the engine sound of the car you are "sitting in" can be increased by selecting lower numbers of sound (NOS) in the Sounds
option menu of GPL. This might be helpful if you are starting a race with a full grid.

I tried to delete as much ambient noise from the original recordings while I made the sound files. But, there is always an extraction of noises during
racing action, with many different noises like wind and vibrations. So, maybe there are some unwished for noises, but they are part of the bundle of
sound emissions, even in the best onboard recordings.

IMHO, it is best to use good speakers with a proper distance to your ears. Headphones will unfold every little ambient noise.

I wish you much fun with the updated GTX Mod and the new sounds !

Cheers,

Wolfgang
